Swift created original music that was inspired by country performers like Shania Twain (now known as the Chicks) and Dixie Chicks. Her material reflected Swift's experiences with tweens and the feeling of alienation. Swift was only thirteen when her parents made the decision to dispose of their Pennsylvania farm to relocate into Hendersonville Tennessee. She could dedicate all her energy to approaching the country music labels that were based in Nashville.
